Singin’ River Brewing Company

Singin’ River Brewing Co. in Florence was the first brewery in the Shoals. Founders Rob and his wife grew up along the Tennessee River, moved away and traveled, but kept being drawn back to the Shoals and the river locals call the Singing River. They met on a blind date at a First Fridays event, married and raised their children there, and eventually settled in Florence for good to open the brewery. The owners say the river taught them to enjoy life and try something new, and they brew beer meant for boat docks, bonfires and conversations about the future. The taproom has comfortable chairs, round tables and string lights over a long wooden bar. Singin’ River is a stop on the North Alabama Craft Beer Trail, offers tours and hosts weekly events, including a Friday pint night for the University of North Alabama community.
