New Realm Auburn

New Realm Brewing at Auburn is the official taproom of New Realm at Auburn University’s College of Human Sciences. It runs a 7-barrel brewhouse that serves beer made on site alongside canned and draft beer from the wider New Realm lineup. Six taps are reserved for beer brewed just for this location and run straight from the serving tanks in the brewhouse. The partnership extends into the classroom: students get hands-on training in the brewhouse and taproom, and head brewer and general manager Drew Kostic teaches and does research as an affiliated professor in the university’s brewing science program. The parent company, a craft brewery and distillery, was founded in 2016 by Carey Falcone, Bob Powers and Mitch Steele, with a flagship in Atlanta. The Auburn taproom has occasional live music, a dog-friendly patio, a monthly book club with beer pairings and a loyalty program.
