Folklore Brewing & Meadery
About
Folklore Brewing & Meadery is a Dothan brewery and meadery that the Pate family and their friends started in 2013. Founder Jeremy Pate brewed his first homebrew batch in 1997 and later worked as a consultant helping start breweries around the country before opening in his home area on Halloween night 2013. Folklore became the first packaging brewery on record in Dothan and Houston County, and its beer is sold in local stores, pubs and restaurants. The brewery focuses on kids, pets and veterans. Its five acres include a live music stage, a large enclosed biergarten, a playground, RV camping and seasonal festivals, and a separately owned cafe and visiting food trucks provide food. Folklore makes beer, mead and spirits, welcomes leashed pets outdoors and hosts tours and private events. A second location opened in Enterprise in 2023.
