Cahaba Brewing Company

Cahaba Brewing Company is a brewery and taproom in Birmingham, named for the Cahaba River, the longest free-flowing river in Alabama. The brewery likens itself to its namesake: diverse, humble and a little wild. It started as a small homebrew-scale project and quickly outgrew its first spot in the Pepper Place and Lakeview area. In January 2016 it moved to East Avondale and stepped up from a 3-barrel system to a 30-barrel brewhouse. Today Cahaba occupies a 51,000-square-foot home in the historic Continental Gin Complex, where it brews and cans all of its beer, still using its original small system from 2011 for experimental batches. The taproom pours from more than 26 taps, including Blonde, Oka Uba IPA, Pale Ale and Lager plus taproom-only releases. Cahaba also makes spirits and hosts events.
